This last year has flown by... being a mom has kept me pretty busy. I love every moment and have never felt so loved, or blessed. We have been blessed with a wonderful daughter, a home, family, friends, good health, jobs.... and the list goes on.
The last year Dayle and I were able to find a home. Things did get a little crazy and the first home fell through leaving us stranded because our townhouse contract was up. We had some wonderful friends The Stantons let us stay with them until we closed on our home and were able to move in. It was a ton of fun.
Since we have moved in Eden has learned how to crawl, walk, and say a few words... "mama, dada, more, lease... (for please), num-a-num (for food or banana), hi, hey, uh hu, mmm (for yum ), and a few others. She will repeat almost anything though, so we have to be careful. She is learning way to fast.
Dayle was very excited to have passed all the sections of the CPA exam and has sent of for his CPA lisence. He was also promoted to a Senior level at work. I am very proud of him and all that he does for our family! His hard work allows me to stay home with Eden, and for that I am so grateful.
I have been taking classes on and off and should FINALLY have my Bachelors by December. I only have about 10 credits left and am determined to get it! I also coupon. Not a little. but a ton. I save at least 75-80% every shopping trip. It is really fun and have actually gotten to teach a few coupon classes as well.
Dayle and I did have a few trips this year... A few to Alabama to visit family! Two trips to Idaho to visit Dayle's family, one to Vegas to visit my NANA, and then Dayle and I celebrated the New Year by going to Savanah. And yes I fell asleep before the fireworks went off. Lame I know : )
Eden's first Birthday was amazing she got way to many presents between Chirstmas and Birthday. I have never had more fun though and find it hard not to spoil my precious little princess!

Baby!!!
Crazy life here at the Dalling home! We went in for regular appointments with the doctor. Work, school, church, friends, the normal happen life. And then suddenly we have a baby! Wow the last few months feel like they flew by. Though at moments it really felt like a life time.
I went in for my 35 week check up and they said that our baby girl was doing just fine and there was no need to worry. She was going to stay cookin' for awhile. But then that weekend... we went to the hospital. Again... For the like 3rd time? Or was it more... they all blur together! They told me that they were not going to let me go home until she was born. So Dayle and I are pros at the hospital stay now. We have a movie, game, and alone time routine. If you want to have a lot of individual time with your hubbie. Get admitted to the hospital. All the world kind of stops for awhile. You don't worry about groceries, appointments, ect. It is just you and them. And I have to admit it was pretty nice those few days before she was born.
It was even our 3rd year Anniversary the day before she was born!!! Dayle picked up some Olive Garden and some Sparkling Cider and we made a date of it. So memorable! I love my husband!
Well after 5 days in the hospital they took Eden via an Emergency C-Section! She was 36 weeks. So a tid bit early and we also spent 5 days in the NICU. So after 10 days we all went home together! Though Eden was in the NICU up until we went home together. So when we got home, I finally got to be mom. Dayle was so wonderful running from the NICU to me. Giving me updates. Taking care of Eden... He is such an amazing husband and father. Words can not express how lucky I am. He still gets up at night with her. And right now he is singing to her.
It has been a whirl wind of adventures. And I am so grateful for all the family and friends who have helped us out. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words so I will post a few... That way I won't bore you anymore. So enjoy!

Eden moments after entering the world!
Eden in the NICU on the CPAP. Only 24 hours, and then about 24 hours on low flow. What a strong baby! The nurses said she was the best little trooper ever!

Two weeks after being home! Love our family!

Where did the time go?
A Breeze Through Our Holidays!
It has been awhile since I last posted to say the least. But things have been a little hectic here.
Not only am a slow with the prego brain, but really I am slow to get things done lately. We should be a little better now though because Dayle no longer has to come home and study until bedtime! Yay! Last Saturday he took the final portion on the CPA Exam. We are just waiting for scores to come back.
So on Halloween Dayle wanted to paint a pumpkin on my belly. I said NO! But we did go to a friends for our Halloween Party and one of my friends made the cutest treats I had to take pictures so that I could copy them another year!

So then Thanksgiving snuck up on us, and the doctor told Dayle and I that we should stay home and not travel. We were pretty bummed. But luckily the day before Thanksgiving I had another check up and since everything was fine he said that we could make it a quick trip! It was so much fun to be with family! And since we were all together we went ahead and celebrated our Christmas too!

Our Baby Girl Eden Loren is growning and growing. It was so fun when I finally got to see her face 3D. Since I am high risk and have appointments every two weeks and sometimes once a week we have gotten to know our ultrasound techs really well. They are so nice and have been trying to get her on the 3D for about a month now. But it seemed like every time she would turn the machine to 4D instead of the 2D Eden would hide her face. I was SO glad when she finaly quit making us play peek-a-boo! Dayle and I compared her picture to Bryent's pictures and it is interesting to see little differences in the face shape already. We are so excited to get to see and hold her.We did have a little scare last Saturday when I started having some contractions and problems. So we called the nurse and they sent us to labor and delivery. After a few hours the contractions stopped and they did some tests. One is called a FFNT it can tell if you are going into labor in the next two weeks. It came back negative which is GREAT news. So I get her kickin in me for at least two weeks and that makes me Super happy. After 24 hours they sent us home, but told us to come straight back if it started again. So I am at home taking it easy. Writing on my blog and doing school.
So that is about that for now. Life is good and we are loving life.

Getting Crafty
So an update on out little baby. She is 23 weeks. And because the doctors are so concerned from my previous pregnancy that she will come early, they have done extra ultrasounds and even a FFN test which can tell if you will go into labor in the next two weeks. Luckily everything says that she will be in there cookin for a little bit longer. And right now she is the same size as her brother when he came. Which is really amazing because wow! It is a baby!
On another note. Dayle has now passed the first two portions of his CPA Exam! Yay for Dayle! I am so proud of him and all of the hard work that he has put into these exams. I really don't know how he does it. He is planning on taking the other two parts by the end of November and hopefully before our little girl decides to come!

I hate taking pictures of myself and really should have taken one at the beggining to compare them to, but alas I am a bit camera shy. Especially when pregnant!

Good Times!
Camping in the Smoky Mountains! A wonderful Labor Day vacation. Until we woke up the second morning in 2 inches of rain! We hopped in the car and went and got a warm shower and bed at my Aunt's house. It was a blast soggy clothes and all!

The 4th Of July!
Just had to bring out the hats! Some days we wish we were in Idaho!
So Fun.....Being a kid was easy :)
My Contribution to Patriotism! Layers of yummy fruit...and what?
Jello... I did the Jello layers in Red and Blue!
We are SO excited! Some of our friends from Rexburg just moved to Georgia as well. And the best part is they are only a few minutes away! So we got together for the 4th of July! And had a blast!
We had a great cook out and went to watch fireworks. Then we played with sparklers at home. Our excuse is that we did it for the baby! But everyone knows that sparklers are a pastime that you can't pass up. So here are a few pictures of our day!

Happy Birthday Dayle!
Dayle's 26th Birthday! Another Year Older and Hopefully a Little Bit Wiser Too!
So it wasn't the biggest birthday bash ever this year. Dayle didn't get home from his CPA review courses until around 10:00pm. But when he did I had cake and presents waiting!
And on Friday night we had friends over and played games all night! It was a blast! So really the party just went on longer because we didn't get to celebrate it right away!

Happy Birthday Bryent!

One year ago today our son Bryent Derrick Dalling was born. And later that day his Heavenly Father took him home again. Because his mission on earth was complete.
We love him dearly and are so blessed to know that he is our
son for all eternity!
And this year we have started a tradition of eating Angel Food Cake
on his birthday. Because he is such a sweet little angel.
My mom and other family did the same thing.
It was a sweet celebration!
So to our son, we are thinking of you today.

Summer Fun
I love the summer months. For the last few weeks I have had one of my sisters staying with me. And next week my little brother will come. It is such a blast to go swimming and play with them!
Also Dayle and I have discovered that we love to grill. Cooking and cleaning is SO much easier and when the weather is nice there is no where we would rather be than outside! So hurray for summer! We love it!

Plants!
So now that we are in Georgia I have found that my favorite flower ( the Gardenia) can be grown here. In Idaho it was to cold and windy for such a plant with such a picky nature. So I potted one and it is on my door step! It was lots of fun picking out the plant, a pot, and then getting home and putting it all together. It is about 3 1/2 feet tall and has been
in constant bloom since I got it! I love the fragrance that these blossoms have! Since we are in a town house though every thing has to go into pots or hanging baskets. For that reason I can't wait until we get a house!

I'll have to post pictures once they are full of fruit!

Down South

In January Dayle and I made it to our new place in Georgia! It has been a busy couple of months since we have been here and we are loving it! We have been to the beach a few times... and hope to make it many more as we are so close now!
Dayle is loving his new job and is glad that tax season is over and things are back to a normal pace!
As for me, I am taking classes online through BYU-I this semester and enjoying getting to know our new neighbors and friends better!
I did however get reintroduced to the crazy drivers here in the south when I was in a car accident in February. I was fine but we had to say good-bye to our wonderful SUV.
Life is great and we are happy to be here!

Graduation!!!
So here we are at the end of the year and what a year it has been. We have moved back from Georgia, moved into an apartment, had a baby, accepted a job in Georgia, went to my brother's wedding in Boise drove to the reception in Alabama, are packing and moving out of our apartment and into a new one. And the whole time we have been in school. Wow! What a year!
But now we look at it all and we have Diplomas! Dayle and I walked together at graduation this year. It was a wonderful day filled with a great sense of accomplishment on both our parts. Dayle graduated with a Bachelors in Accounting and I graduated with an Associates. I hope to continue my education in Georgia. So we will have to see what page that unfolds for us. One really fun thing that I did before the week of graduation was have a surprise party for Dayle. It was so fun, we invited all of his old friends and family.
Only a week and a half until we move! I can not wait to unpack and have my house organized that way I want again!

CHRISTMAS!!!!
I am so excited for Christmas. It has always been my favorite holiday. Last Saturday Dayle and I bought a Christmas tree. It looks so pretty. We had fun putting it up together. We also went to the Black Friday sales and got the rest of our Christmas shopping done. So we are ready. Everything is wrapped and under the tree waiting for Christmas morning. I can not wait to see Dayle's face when he sees what I got him! So the count down begins. May everyone have a Happy Holidays!

FIREPROOF

So last night my husband and I saw the movie Fireproof. It was so good. Finally a movie that shows that marriages do not have to end. Life is hard and marriage is not easy, but nothing in life is. I know that my marriage would not be as wonderful if I could not look back at all the triumphs that my husband and I have accomplished together. Marriage is a journey and there is no one I would rather take than my Dayle. Life is to short to be selfish. So just remember to never leave your partner behind. Finish strong together.

Diapers!!!
So one of my best friends is having a baby girl and I get to help host a baby shower for her. It will be a ton of fun. Dayle helped me make her diaper cake. He helped me put it togeather and then I got to decorate it. It was a lot of fun. My husband is such a good sport. I love having him around and making stuff with him. So I think the end result turned out pretty good. Let me know what you think.
Oh and by the way. I looked at these online and they definentaly charge more than they are worth. If you ever want to make one just google for instructions.

Our Son
Becoming A Mother Is Not Always A Choice, But A Gift.

On January of 2008 I found out that Dayle and I were expecting our first baby, and after a year of being married everything seemed to be too perfect. Life was beautiful. And so were the first 5 months of my pregnancy. Until one day.
So I decided that I should write about our son. There is a picture at the bottom of my page. So here is the story...
On January of 2008 I found out that Dayle and I were expecting our first baby, and after a year of being married everything seemed to be too perfect. Life was beautiful. And so were the first 5 months of my pregnancy. Until one day.
On May 29th 2008 I went to the hospital with Dayle because I felt that something was wrong. We were not sure what, but we left for the hospital anyways. I had a test to take for my math class that evening and thought that I would get back in time to take it. And Dayle brought his homework as well. The nurse assured me everything would be fine, but when the doctor came in he found that I was fully dilated and I was informed that with my baby being only 24 weeks old he would not survive. I received a blessing and felt comfort but no sure answer. For five days I fought to give my baby a chance, and felt angels all around me. During this entire time my wonderful husband never left my side, but held my hand and comforted me. My mother who was thousands of miles away also found a way to be with me. But on Monday June 2nd at 8:51 a.m. the struggle ended and I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. Though tiny in our eyes he was complete and perfect. With tiny fingers, tiny toes, delicate eye lashes and a button nose. He was 1 lb 6 oz and 12 1/2 inches long. He lived for 1 1/2 hours and then God knowing that his life was complete called him home. Those were the most peaceful and sorrowful moments that I have ever felt. Dayle did have the opportunity to give him a name and a blessing. Tears were shed and I felt as though my world had crumbled. But I know that God has a plan for us and that Bryent is where he needs to be. I have a son who is near and watching over us. Though our first pregnancy was not what we expected it was still a wonderful Miracle. And for those few hours that I held my baby and was a mother, there is nothing in this world I would trade for it. And for my son Bryent I would do it all again. Life is hard and I have learned that it is what we do with the trials that we are given that make us who we are. I only hope that I can live my life in a way that will make my son proud of me, for I know that he is watching over me. His mother.

Laughter is the Best Medicine
The most wasted of all days is one without laughter. ~e.e. cummings
Why anyone would ever want to go a day without laughing is beside me. And today Dayle had a laughing attack that was fiercer than any I had ever seen before. Rolling on the floor and clutching his sides. It is a memory that I will never forget. And then because he was laughing so hard I started to laugh and it just kept going and going. Life can be tough, but it does not have to be miserable. So laugh!
